PS4 has a new game coming out called Knack. This action / strategy game is set to release on November 15th and hit store shelves immediately. For some who are anticipating a unique gameplay experience, cannot wait this long, but they’re going to have to due to the fact that the PlayStation 4 isn’t even released yet. Knack promises a fun filled adventure, complete with many different powers, allowing you to discover the unique and vibrant world during game play.
How can one describe Knack? Well, it’s adventurous, full of action and very much full of great quality gameplay that will probably have you lost in their virtual world for hours on end. It seems that just about anyone can take a stab at Knack as their target audience seems to be broad. Kids, teenagers and adults seem to be able to enjoy this new PS4 game title with enthusiasm.
The character you’re playing, Knack, is a monster capable of growing to different sizes during gameplay. You’re going to be interested to know that you can grow this character using Relics. As you play the game, you kill certain enemies and you will find yourself accumulating Relics to grow from 3ft to over 30ft in height, giving your character a significant battling ability.
One of the interesting features about Knack that I discovered was the ability to change difficulty level. If you find that you are breezing through the game, you can certainly decide to change it and give yourself a challenge.
Back to gameplay itself, I found that Knack has a ton of hidden features that will make the game more interesting for you. There are secret paths that you can travel through, once you destroy an object in its way. These secret paths lead you to tons of useful weapons and tools that aid you as you proceed through the game. It seems that Knack isn’t as simple as I originally thought it was upon first impression of the game’s demo.
For example, during the video game’s demo, we noticed that the character collected parts to build a tool known as the Harvester. The Harvester’s job is simply to let Knack keep enemy’s sunstones which are those sparking items found once each enemy is destroyed. Using the sunstones, Knack is able to unleash his super powers once his three gauge bar is filled. The point is the sunstones will give Knack the ability to unleash his true potential during gameplay. You will be pleased to see these super powers unleashed with his ability to jump, throw amazing punches, roll attacks and more. The bigger this beast is, the more damage he can output!
As far as gameplay quality is concerned, you’re going to notice that the game is very nice looking. We felt that the quality could be improved to max out the Playstation Four’s abilities. Regardless, we really had nothing bad to say about the quality, I think you’re going to be blown away!
In short, I think people of all ages will have fun with Knacks’ gameplay and will appreciate the graphics too. Knack is set to be released to North America on November 15th.
The unlikely hero of Knack stands only three feet tall, but harnesses the power of ancient relics to transform himself into a powerful brute or even a gigantic wrecking machine! Knack will need all the relic-based power-ups he can gather for his battle against a world-destroying army of goblins, tanks, and robots in this frantic action-adventure game from video game legend Mark Cerny. Knack allows for two-player drop-in/drop-out co-op play, and features easy-to-learn controls, a unique and vibrant world rendered with stunning PS4 graphics, challenging enemies, and a style Sony describes as "old-school meets next-gen." In other words, Knack is the perfect mix of Old, New, and Goblins!
